I recently participated in ClassicFM’s radio debate series concerning Business in Africa. This was floated on their new series called ‘Classic Government’, which focuses on the interactions between business and government in South Africa and further afield. This interesting new series seems to be part of a broader media interest in business-government relations; no surprise given the deepening mysteries concerning South Africa’s increasingly opaque and enigmatic political economy. CNBC Africa also recently introduced such a series in a prime time slot, hosted by Karima Brown. More on this another time (soon). Meanwhile have a listen to the podcast of the ClassicFM session, introduced with me answering several probing questions from host Glenn Lewington.
